Why Does It Take So Long To Learn?

I always see guys post about "I've done 70, 200, 1,000 approaches and I'm not getting what I want, what can I change?" The truth of the situation is that cold approach is a process, a series of skills to master. Not only do you need to fare well at these particular skills, but you have to learn how to deal with the elements of randomness that present themselves within the field. Approaching a girl sitting in the park thinking, is different than approaching a girl on the move, which is different from approaching a girl out with a friend, and so on down the line. Let's put the scope of things in perspective: you have to get good at opening, conversing, flirting, physically escalating and leading in pre-meditated AND spontaneous situations. Because all of these situations are different, you can be assured that you will ALWAYS be learning something. Doing a simple number of approaches isn't enough, it's the breadth and depth of what you're doing over a long enough period of time that will get you the results you want.
