Sub-comms are great, but...

I was recently part of a discussion on whether sub-communications or actual verbal escalation is more important. I gave acknowledgement that both of them were needed but didn't go into detail about why this is. Yes, it is possible to ask regular questions and have seemingly innocuous dialog in a flirty way, this is true. However, you will never actually know if you are on the same page with a girl unless you verbally and physically escalate. Some sub-communication is real, some of it is simply in your head. You must move forward in a measured way to find out how the girl you're talking to really feels. Verbal and physical escalation serve the purpose of putting you two on the same wavelength, reducing the need to play the guessing game. Any time you're playing the "guessing game" with a woman, you're losing. You need to find out exactly where you are in the process.
